Women’s Legacy, the European project Erasmus+ KA201 of educational innovation led by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Valencian Regional Government, has participated in the 18th Intercambia state conference, which was held on Tuesday, November 29th in Madrid. Representatives from all autonomous regions in Spain were in attendance (except Ceuta and Melilla).
Intercambia is an initiative promoted by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the Institute of Women, whose objective is to offer a space to share and “exchange” (“intercambiar” in Spanish) knowledge, projects, resources and materials promoting co-education and aiming to end with sexist stereotypes that are currently in practice in different educational Administrations.
Thus, our project coordinator, researcher Ana López-Navajas, gave a conference entitled “Women’s Legacy. How to include women in the curriculum”, in which she explained who we are, how we work, our objectives, and the intellectual outputs that we have developed so far, such as the catalogues, the resource bank and the STEM training course.
The methodology followed by the Women’s Legacy team and the transferability of the outputs were particularly interesting to attendees. In fact, Intercambia has brought up the opportunity of expanding the project to other autonomous regions and giving our teacher training course in educational centres all over Spain.
