“Female referents and their didactics at various educational levels: We. Stories of women and something else by Rosa Montero”. This is the name of the educational innovation and research project that has been developed at IES Rafal (Alicante), in which several members of Women’s Legacy have participated.
Specifically, this initiative has been coordinated by Professor Paola Madrid Moctezuma, who has had a team made up of 14 teachers from different areas, such as Spanish Language and Literature, English, Religion, Physics and Chemistry, Geography and History, Philosophy, Computer Science, Physical Education, Plastic and Latin.
This project is a continuation of the tasks started in the 2019/2020 academic year, so that the research, creation and transfer activities have been expanded during the current academic year (2020/2021). In addition, the 6th grade students of the Trinitario Seva Public School (Rafal) and the 1st high school students of the IES Tháder de Orihuela have collaborated.
According to the project’s report, among the activities carried out throughout the course, there are 50 computer graphics and digital comics produced by the departments of English, Latin, Plastic, and Geography and History, which have also created posters of the female presidents who have better managed the covid-19 crisis in the world. For their part, the departments of Philosophy, English and Physical Education have produced eight videos on interviews with relevant women and the recreation of historical female characters.
Likewise, the department of Religion has created two stained glass windows on abbesses for the center and Computer Science has developed an app with information on important women in this discipline.
